Himalayan Distillery, Avenues Television and Surya Nepal are likely to qualify for the semifinals of the Ncell Beach Cricket Tournament being held on the banks of Trishuli River at the River Side Spring Resort, Kurintar.
Himalayan Distillery defeated Ncell in the opening match on Friday and registered another win over the same opponents to make it to the semifinal.
Avenues and Surya Nepal made a good start winning both of their respective matches. Avenues beat Nimbus Nepal and Mobicom while Surya Nepal defeated The Himalayan Times and Tele Talk Pvt Ltd.
In other matches of the day, the Embassy of Australia, WWF, Mobicom, Max La´gence, The Himalayan Times and Tele Talk registered a win each.
The provision to keep a lady member in each team proved to be costly for NSJF as they were handed 15 runs penalty for fielding a four-man team.
NSJF restricted WWF to 28 runs in five overs but they had to chase a total of 43 runs for victory after the opponents were awarded 15 runs. In reply, NSJF were able to score only 35 runs off five overs.
