Posess International Sports Council (PISC) has come up with a plan to conduct Nepal Cricket Premier League in mid-May this year.

The main target of the proposed league would be to promote Nepali cricket at the national and international level, said PISC President Pankaj Pawar on Tuesday.

The New Delhi based organizers have pledged to provide Rs 20, 000 to all the teams participating in the league. The winner will bag a purse of Rs 121, 000 while the first runner-up will take away Rs 51, 000. The best players of the first league will be selected for the Players´ Auction which will be held in Kathmandu.

The bidding for the best players will start from Rs 25, 000 while for other players from Rs 10, 000. Pawar said each participating team must have at least four Nepali players, while others can be foreigners.
