Government honors Nepal Cricket Team

Kathmandu/Cricnepal: Nepal Government on Friday honored the Nepal National Cricket Team with Rs. 3 lakhs each that lifted the title of the ICC World Cricket League Division 4 Tournament that was held in Malaysia from September 3-10.

Nepal had won the title defeating USA by 8 wickets in the finals. Nepal team also remained unbeaten throughout the tournament.

Honorable prime minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai felicitated players and coach Pubudu Dassanayake organizing a function at Singha Durbar. Government had announced to reward the players and coach with Rs. 3 lakhs each on September 13.

Meanwhile, Cricket Association of Nepal(CAN) will reward the team on Saturday with cash incentives of Rs. 30,000 each as announced earlier.
