The next four months will be the most important days for Nepali Cricket.Unlike previous times all the associated bodies are toiling hard to make sure Nepali colts are geared up when they make a bid to play against the top teams in the World Cup Qualifiers. With T20 World Cup Qualifiers just at the door step Nepali Team with 24 players is currently under “grueling” training session shaping them self into for T20 format.
Nepal will play World T20 Qualifiers in UAE from 20-30 November.
The coach in an interview with The Himalayan Times said that he team was working hard to build mental strength, agility and strength required in T20 strength and these skills would help shape T20 skills.
“Dassanayake has prepared a grueling practice sessions that begins with one-hour fitness test in the morning, two hour batting and bowling session and another one and half hour fielding session in the evening” reads Adarsha Dhakal’s post on Himalayan Times.
“Dassanayake was hopeful that the upcoming Delhi tour will be the best part of the team’s preparation”reads Adarsha’s post on The Himalayan Times. Coach informed THT that with proper tie up and being a formal tour Nepal will get to play with good teams in International Ground unlike the previous times (when Nepal prepared with weak teams in poor ground).According to High Performance Program(HPP) schedule Nepal will in India from 20-30th October for 7-10 matches.
Its not just Cricket and Strength thats being looked after this time. CAN is also planning to provide then special classed to shape them mentally and psychologically. Purna Lama, manager of for the team told Himalayan times that they had planned for motivation sessions along with one-day short-term meditation and personality development classes for the cricketers.
