The Super Over : Nepal vs. Namibia

ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier NewZealand 2014

Nepal lost the first match to Namibia by four run.

Right after the match the captains agreed on a super over match, just so that Nepalese supporters will not return disheartened. Nepal put up a score of 13 runs in the over thanks to a four and a six from Sagar Pun and Binod Bhandari. “Sagar played a delightful scoop shot” reads one of the fans post on Facebook.

In reply Namibia reached only 10 and Nepal won by 3 runs!

Nepali Cricket team playing both matches without services from  skipper Paras Khadka has served a decent show in the two practice matches. Nepal is yet to win any matches without Khadka but Nepalese players have certainly won the hearts of the fans. Nepalese fans on the other hand, who were found cheering for Nepal in the chilly morning in Christchurch have even impressed the players from other teams.

Although away from home and on alien conditions Nepalese team will have an added advantage-the roaring Nepalese community backing Nepal in every run and every wicket.
