Nepal to play first-class match after a decade

Kathmandu – Nepalese Cricket team will be performing in three-day first-class match against Kurunegala Combined XI at Welagedara Stadium starting from today.

Nepal will be playing two three-day matches during their Sri Lanka tour starting from November 7 to November 25. Both the games have received First Class Status from ICC and Sri Lanka Cricket board.

Previously, Nepal played their first-class match back in 2004 and 2005. They played four first-class matches during Intercontinental Cup. Shakti Gauchan is the only player to play all those four matches while Skipper Paras Khadka has got two match experience.

Skipper Khadka along with Basant Regmi, Mehboob Alam and Shakti Gauchan have played three-day matches in the current squad.
