Wet outfield abandones second T20I match

Kathmandu – The second twenty20 International match between Nepal and Hong Kong has been abandoned due to Wet outfield at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium, Dambulla, Sri Lanka.

The match was slated to be played at 10:15 AM (NST) but due to wet ground field, it got delayed till 2:45 PM. After the final inspection at 2:45 PM, the officials announced as there will be no play possible today.

There was slight drizzle in the morning to help the wet ground to get worse especially at the score end. Although there were continuous effort from the ground staffs and officials  but the result has sadden up as both the teams are awaiting for two days to be on the field.

The first match of the bilateral series on Wednesday was also abandoned due to wet outfield. “There is a chance of shifting the match on Friday, Saturday and Monday”, Source said to cricnepal. As per the schedule, the third match will be played on saturday at the very ground.
