Nepal faces uphill task against PNG in WT20Q

Melbourne – Nepal will play their fifth match of the World Twenty20 Qualifiers against the tough looking Papua New Guinea, who beat defending champions Ireland in their last match, at Dublin (Malahide) on friday.

Its a must win game for Nepal against PNG to stay alive in the competition, a loss here would end the chances of qualifying for the ICC World Twenty20 in India next year.

This match will be live on Star Sports 4 and will be aired from 2:45 PM NST. Nepal’s story in the tournament hasn’t been exceptional with two losses against Ireland, and Hong Kong and a win against USA, while they shared a point with Namibia after rain halted the match.

  • Much hyped & most disappointing team Nepal…both with bat & ball….opening clicked & middle order failed against PNG….nothing going right with the team. The way they played seems more downward then last year. Will Nepal improve???? A very serious question to CAN
