Cricnepal – Pakistan Women thrashed Nepal Women by 9 wickets in the Asian Cricket Council Women’s Cup Twenty20 Asia Cup held at Asian Institute of Technology Ground, Thailand today.
Pakistan Women 48 for 1 (10.0 ov) def. Nepal Women 47/10 (18.1 ov) by 9 wickets [Full Scorecard]
Nepal’s skipper Rubina Chhetri won the toss and opted to bat first. Pakistani bowlers were outstanding from the start and were able to take wickets in regular interval. Nepalis batters had no Plan B to counter-attack the situation. Rubina Chhetri could only crossed her double digit score (11) and rest were like a telephone number. The ten extras also contributed as a second highest scorer during the inning.
Sadly, Nepal were bundled out for just 47 runs in 18.1 overs. In Fact, the match was lost already at the halfway stage when they were restricted to 26/7 in 9.4 overs.
Anam Amin, Sana Mir and Sadia Yousuf shared two wickets each.
Nepal Women’s FOW 1-4 (Shrestha, 1.3 ov), 2-4 (SR Magar, 1.4 ov), 3-7 (Rajopadhyay, 3.4 ov), 4-16 (Pandey, 6.4 ov), 5-17 (Nary Thapa, 7.5 ov), 6-21 (S Magar, 8.4 ov), 7-26 (Barma, 9.4 ov), 8-40 (Karuna Bhandari, 14.2 ov), 9-46 (Kumari, 17.4 ov), 10-47 (Belbashi, 18.1 ov)
It was easy task for Pakistani Women during the chase and achieved that target in tenth over without any hiccups. The only wicket of opener Ayesha Zafar came via a run-out. She top scored with 26 runs including three boundaries.
Nepal will play their second match against Sri Lanka on November 28th at the same venue.
