Biratnagar and Kathmandu to play nine overs match after a meeting

After a huge drama, Kathamndu Knights and Biratnagar Super Kings are set to play nine overs (each) match.

As per the scheduled time, the toss should have been at 8:30 am. However, The players and officials refused to go to the toss, citing many problems. As per the source, Players are yet to get their salaries. The agreement states that 40% of the payment is due before the start of the tournament and 60% is due throughout the competition; however, the players have not yet received any money.

Later, players from both teams, the President of Nepal T20 League Governing Council – Prashant Bikram Malla, Nepal T20 League tournament director and CAN General Manager – Britant Khanal, CAN’s cricket manager – Binod Das, Treasurer – Roshan Singh and Match officials had a meeting at the TU end.

Afterwards, the toss was completed at 10:30 (ground time), two hours after the scheduled time. Kathmandu’s captain Gyanendra Malla won the toss and opted to bat first.
