Cricket receives hefty budget for 2015/16

Kathmandu- Nepal Government has allocated a hefty amount of budget for the year 2015/16 for the development of cricket in Nepal after Nepal’s cricket team gathered attention from all over the world participation in the T20 World Cup 2014.

RS 110 Million has been allocated for the complete construction of Mulpani Cricket Stadium which is under construction since a long time. Government has raised its voice to support the constriction of a international cricket ground in Dhangadhi as well.

Similarly, RS 210 million has been allocated for the construction of cricket grounds in different parts the country to raise the standard of cricket in Nepal.

Nepal Government will also help in upgrading the situation of Tribhuwan Cricket Ground and Pulchowk Engineering Ground.

Nepal’s cricket team ins currently participating in T20 World Cup Qualifiers in Ireland. They will play their fourth match of the tournament against Hong Kong today.
