“Crisis Man” achieves 100 wickets in WCL

Kathmandu – Basant Regmi known as The Crisis Man of Nepalese Cricket has become the first bowler to take 100 wickets in ICC World Cricket League matches.

Regmi, 28, left-arm orthodox spinner from Bhairahawa achieved the milestone during Nepal’s two wicket win over Netherlands in the second match of ICC World Cricket League Division 2 played at United Cricket Club Ground in Namibia.

During the match, he took the wicket of Stephan Myburgh to reach the 100th wicket tally in WCL. He claimed two wickets in the match (10-1-22-2). He also grabbed two wickets against Uganda in the first match.

After the milestone, he was awarded with the ball from the Match Referee Dev Govindjee. He has already taken 13 wickets in List A matches.
