Dipendra Singh Airee has been benched in Nepal’s ACC Premier Cup final match against UAE. Gulshan Jha replaced him in playing XI in the very crucial match at TU Cricket Ground.
The allrounder was dropped following a poor batting run. However, He has been superb with the ball and on the field. This is the first time Airee has been dropped from the XI based on his performance. After his debut for Nepal in 2017, Airee missed out on several matches due to the injury but was never dropped for his performance.
Gulshan Jha was the star in Nepal’s remarkable win against UAE in the last match of CWC League 2 in March 2023.
Meanwhile, Dipendra Singh Airee has featured in 44 ODI matches for Nepal. He has 696 runs and 32 wickets to his name.
The winner between UAE and Nepal will join India and Pakistan in Group A of the Asia Cup 2023, which will take place in September.
