Government extends Dassanayake contract by a year

The government has extended the contract of head coach of Nepali national cricket team Pubudu Dassanayake by a year on Tuesday.
Ministerial decision was taken to extend the contract for a year that was renewed some three months ago which expired on Monday.
“Decision has been made to extend the contract by year,” Minister for Youth and Sports Purusottam Poudel stated.
The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) had been expressing disinclination to renew the contract citing economic reasons.
