Hussain Talat guide Biratnagar Super Kings to their first victory

Biratnagar Super Kings have registered their first win in the Nepal T20 League. Hussain Talat’s all-round performance helped them clinch six wickets victory over Pokhara Avengers.

Chasing the target of 140 runs in the stipulated 19 overs, Talat’s half-century inspired Biratnagar to chase the target with seven balls spare. Pakistan’s experienced campaigner scored unbeaten 50 runs from 30 balls. Arjun Saud and Andre McCarthy assisted 25 and 21 runs respectively. Kushal Malla and Sharad Vesawkar picked up two wickets each for Pokhara.

Invited to bat first, Pokhara managed 139 runs on the board despite a slow start. Kushal Malla smacked 18-ball 37 to uplift the sluggish start. Siddhant Lohani scored 26, while Pratish GC hammered 11 runs from four balls. Upul Tharanga once again failed to deliver as he scored 19 runs from 28 balls.
