ICC shifts match venue for WCLC matches to Dubai

ICC World Cricket League Championship (WCLC)

Melbourne/Cricnepal/Nagariknews – Following the security reason, International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced on Thursday that Nepal would not be ready to host the upcoming ICC World Cricket League Championship between Nepal and Papua New Guinea.

The second round of ICC WCLC matches between Nepal and PNG will be played in Dubai, UAE. The new fixture is yet to be confirmed.

Earlier this week, ICC announced the fixture of two WCLC matches against PNG on November 28 and 30 in Tribhuvan University Ground, Kirtipur but citing their lack of preparation and the security reasons in the country due to Constitution Assembly, the ICC has come harsh on the governing body of Cricket and the fans in the country.

CAN is still revamping the TU Ground and has not finished the assessment by the timeline given by the ICC. The fixture was under scrutiny as ICC has the right to change the venue.
