Janakpur- R-7 Janakpur and R-9 Dhangadhi entered the finals of WAI WAI U-16 INTER SCHOOL GIRL’S NATIONAL CRICKET 2015 with respective wins over R-5 Nepalgunj and R-1 Biratnagar in Janakpur on Tuesday
Riding on Mamta Chadhary’s 57 off 50 balls, Janakpur defeated Nepalgunj by 36 runs to enter the final. Janakpur posted 100/6 in a match reduced to 16 overs due to outfield thanks to that innings from Mamta. Laxmi Chaudhary picked two wickets for Nepalgunj. Nepalgunj could only manage 64/7 in reply, losing the match by 36 runs. Laxmi Chaudhary top scored for Nepalgunj with 27 runs. Mamta Chaudhary was adjudged player of the match.
In the second match of the day, batting first Dhangadhi made 132/4 in allotted overs. Bindu Rawal 53 not out of 53 balls and Chadani Shah 42 runs contributed for Dhangadhi. Sangeeta Rai grabbed two wickets for Biratnagar. Biratnagar were then bowled out for just 57 runs in 12.5 overs thanks to a collective bowling effort. Kavita Joshi picked 3 wickets while Kavita Kunwar took 2 wickets for Dhangadhi. Bindu Rawal was declared player of the match for her fifty.
