Janakpur Royals thrash Biratnagar Super Kings to bag fourth win

Janakpur Royals has grabbed their fourth win of the tournament hammering Biratnagar Super Kings in the second match of Saturday. Samiullah Shinwari’s sensational all-around performance helped the Royals bag 49 runs victory.

Chasing a huge target of 190 runs, Super Kings were settled for 140/7 in the allotted 20 overs. Following a very sluggish start from the openers, Hussain Talat smacked a 20-ball 42 in the middle overs. However, it was never enough to chase such a huge target. Pradeep Airee also contributed an unbeaten 36 runs.

The first inning’s star, Samiullah Shinwari, was the pick of a bowler, grabbing three wickets. Lalit Rajbanshi pocketed a couple of wickets, while Ashan Priyanjan and Mohammad Aadil Alam picked up one each.

Janakpur Royals posted a big total of 189/5 against Biratnagar Super Kings after a late firework from the birthday boy Samiullah Shinwari. He collected 24 runs from the last over off Sanjeew Kumaraswamy.

Invited to bat first, the Royals lost both openers, Pawan Sarraf (2) and Trevon Griffith (19), within the fourth over. Chadwick Walton and Sundeep Jora then assisted 29 and 20 runs, respectively, before being sent back by Surya Tamang.

Samiullah Shinwari then played a scintillating knock as the Royals posted a big total. He smacked an unbeaten 78 from 40 balls, hammering six fours and sixes each. Khadak Bohara also assisted 15 runs.

Surya Tamang and Hussain Talat grabbed a couple of wickets each for Biratnagar.
