Kushal Bhurtel replaces injured Saurabh Khanal

Melbourne – Nepal U19 team has made change to their squad for the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2016, which starts in Bangladesh on Wednesday.

Kushal Bhurtel has replaced the medium pacer and right handed batsman Saurabh Khanal. Khanal has got a ligament injury whilst training in India for the preparation of ICC U19 World Cup 2016.

The changes were made prior to the start of the Support Period, i.e Thursday, 20 January. Under the new regulation, which is applicable to all ICC events until 2023, the teams are allowed to make player changes before the start of the Support Period without needing to run the requests past the Event Technical Committee.

Nepal will open its campaign against New Zealand in a Group D match in Fatullah on Thursday, 28 March.
