Nepal announce 20-member preliminary squad for Europe tour

Kathmandu – Nepal has announced its preliminary 20-member squad for the upcoming Twenty20 Tri-series against Netherlands and MCC in London and the later ODI tour against the Netherlands.

Wicketkeeper/Batsman Subash Khakurel, Pradeep Airee and Binod Bhandari have been picked for the preliminary squad by the selection committee comprising Aminul Islam (ICC Representative), Jagat Tamatta (Head Coach) & the national captain Paras Khadka.

Anil Kumar Sah, Basant Regmi, Binod Bhandari, Dipendra Singh Airee, Gyanendra Malla, Hari Chhetri, Karan KC, Lalit Bhandari, Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi, Md. Arif Sheikh, Paras Khadka (Captain), Pradeep Airee, Rohit Kumar Paudel, Sandeep Lamichhane, Shakti Prasad Gauchan, Sharad Vesawkar, Sompal Kami, Subash Khakurel, Sunil Dhamala & Sushan Bhari are among the 20-member squad picked for the camp before the tour.

Nepal is set to play two twenty20 matches in London against MCC and the Netherlands on July 29 and two one-day international matches against the Netherlands in the Netherlands on the later part of the tour.

International Cricket Council (ICC) has already granted the twenty20 match between Netherlands and Nepal with the full International T20 match status.

Nepal will play their inaugural one-day series against the Netherlands on August 2 and 3.
