Kathmandu- Nepal will play four matches against teams from Benoni, eastern town of South Africa, in Nepal’s tour to South Africa ahead of ICC WCL Division 2.
A source revealed that Nepal will play against competitive teams (neither too strong nor too weak) in Benoni, so that Nepal get adjusted to the condition. “Playing against strong teams might increase Nepal’s work load significantly. We cannot afford any injuries before Division-II. We just want to take the South African tour as a second phase of our preparation where our players will get to adapt to the conditions and situations,” the source revealed further.
Nepal will play against Eastern Semi-Pro Team, Northern Semi-Pro Team, Gauteng Semi-Pro Team, and the Academy Team in South Africa.
Nepal team is currently going through fitness training in Kathmandu. Nepal will head to South Africa on January 3 for 10-days preparations ahead of Division 2.
