Nepal’s former Captain Paras Khadka has joined Team Abu Dhabi for the 2019 season of the T-10 cricket league to be held in November in UAE.

Paras Khadka, 31, recently stepped down from his role as Nepalese team captain. After a week of his announcement, he will be joining Team Abu Dhabi to play 10-overs cricket.

Khadka is the third Nepalese cricketer to play for an International franchise league. He has signed a USD10,000 agreement to play for this season starting from November 15. As per The National, he has been selected as Team Abu Dhabi’s “International Community Promoter” player for the tournament.

“It is an honour to be joining Team Abu Dhabi and I can’t wait to be involved in this incredibly exciting tournament,” Khadka said. “I know the matches are going to be intense, but I love playing against the world’s best.

“I’m hoping to see the Nepalese flag flying high in the stands of Zayed Cricket Stadium when I play next month”, he further added.

Paras will share the dressing room with England’s star Moeen Ali, New Zealander Corey Anderson and Sri Lankan Niroshan Dickwella. Former England coach Trevor Bayliss is the head coach.

“Paras is an impressive player who excels in short forms of the game,” Bayliss said. “Both his batting and bowling prowess make him a threat to any team, and he adds another exciting dimension to the balance of Team Abu Dhabi”.

Meanwhile, Sandeep Lamichhane will play for Karnataka Tuskers this season in the T-10 league.
