Pokhara thrashed Janakpur by six wickets in the ongoing U-19 Natonal Cricket Tournament 2071 which saw them reach the semifinals.
Pokhara Chased the target of 115 runs given by Janakpur in the 28th over with the loss of four wickets. Khem Raj Poudel lead the chase with a fluent 42 off 82 balls and Keshav Khatri helped him with 22 off 56 balls. The duo shared a partnership of 71 runs for the 3rd wicket. Sushant Mandal picked up 2 wickets for Janakpur.
Earlier, a combined bowling effort from Pokhara helped them restrict Janakpur for 114/8 in a game that was reduced to 31 overs. Sushil Kandel and Khem Raj Poudel grabbed 2 wickets each for Pokhara. Skipper Chandan Jha top scored for Janakpur with 33 runs from 42 ball and Sushant Mandal added another 22 runs.
Janakpur will face Biratnagar tomorrow in the first Semi-finals at TU Ground.
