Rain spoils Nepal’s first practice match against Oman

Belfast- Rain spoiled Nepal’s first match against Oman at Civil Service Cricket Club, Stormont, Belfast on Monday.

Oman were 115/4 in 16.3 overs when rain came. Oman’s innings was declared shortly afterwards and Nepal came to bat chasing 126 runs in 20 overs.

Nepal were just 6/0 in 0.3 overs when rain came again, and the umpires were forced to call the match off.

Earlier, Zeshaan Maqsood’s 44 runs off just 31 balls helped Oman post 115/4 in 16.3 overs. Shakti Gauchan, Jitendra Mukhiya, Sagar Pun, and Gyanendra Malla grabbed a wicket each for Nepal. Skipper Paras Khadka was rested for the match.

Nepal takes on United Arab Emirates (UAE) on 7th July, 2015 (Tomorrow) at the same venue in the second practice match. The match starts at 14:45 NPT.
