Recall Memories: Nepal in WCL Division 4, 2012

On this day
September 10,2012

Nepal grabbed the ICC World Cricket Division 4 title defeating United States of America (USA) by 8 wickets in the final on September 10,2012.

There were numerous records created by Nepali players in that tournament which includes Shakti Gauchan’s most economical figures in One Day cricket and  Basanta Regmi’s 21 wickets in a single tournament, the most by a Nepalese player in any tournamnet.

Also, Nepal remained unbeaten through-out the tournament winning all six matches. The only time it has happened for in any tournament.

Both openers Subash Khakurel and Anil Mandal scored centuries. It was one of the most convincing tournament wins for Nepal, indeed it was the best cricket played by Nepal Cricket Team in a 50 over tournament.
