What are the five highest T20I total for Nepal?

Having won 33 of 57 matches, Nepal are ranked 16th in the current ICC T20I ranking. The cricket craze in Nepal boomed and became the spotlight after Nepal’s selection to T20I World Cup 2014 in Bangladesh. The associate powerhouse had some decent chances to show their presence in the mega event; however, the batting woes made them suffer.

Nepal’s vigorous bowling attack has always helped Nepal in the shorter format, but today, we look at the impressive batting display. Five highest T20I total scored by Nepal:

5. 217/7 vs Malaysia (April 22, 2021)

Nepal were in terrific touch when Malaysia and the Netherlands toured for a Tri-nation T20I series. Karan KC’s firework (45 from 13) with seven sixes helped Nepal add 53 runs from the last three overs, eventually posting 217 from the allotted 20 overs. Aasif Sheikh and Gyanendra Malla also contributed 42 and 41 runs respectively. Sandeep Lamichhane, Sompal Kami, and Kamal Singh Airee grabbed three wickets apiece in Nepal’s 69 runs win.

4. 218/3 vs Philippines (February 19, 2022)

This is Nepal’s highest overseas T20I score and the only 200+ score in T20I outside TU Cricket Ground. Kushal Bhurtel became the third centurion for Nepal in T20I after Paras Khadka and Gyanendra Malla, notching up an unbeaten 104 from 61 balls ( smashing 13 fours and one maximum). Dipendra Singh Airee also smacked 83 runs in Nepal’s colossal win of 136 runs at Al Amerat, Oman.

3. 223/5 vs Malaysia (April 2, 2022)

Dipendra Singh Airee set up a record of the highest individual score in T20I for Nepal (110*), becoming the fourth batsman to score a century. Airee hammered five biggies and a couple of fours as Nepal collected 48 runs from the last three overs. Rohit Paudel also scored a half-century in Nepal’s 85 runs victory.

2. 236/3 vs Bhutan (December 5, 2019)

Nepal’s second-highest T20I total was all about Gyanendra Malla’s scintillation inning. Malla and Paras Khadka yielded a terrific start, sharing 108 runs in just ninth over. Paras departed after scoring 57 from 28 balls, while Gyanendra went on to become the second centurion for Nepal. Malla’s entertaining knock (107 from 55 balls) In front of an exciting home crowd contained nine sixes. Bhutan were stopped for just 95 runs as Nepal scripted the second-highest T20I win.

1. 238/3 vs Netherlands (April 24, 2021)

Tri-series final against the mighty Netherlands in front of the bumper crowd, and Nepal showed an unbelievable intent posting the highest T20I total. Moreover, the Netherlands were bowled for mere 96 runs registering the 142 runs win, Nepal’s biggest victory (by runs) and the 14th highest overall. This was once in a lifetime display from the Nepalese side. Kushal Bhurtel scored 77 runs, whereas Kushal Malla and Dipendra Singh Airee smacked unbeaten 50 (from 24 balls) and 48 (from 18 balls) respectively. Karan KC grabbed three wickets while Kamal Singh Airee and Sandeep Lamichhane pocketed a couple of wickets each.
