Nepal and UAE were facing each other in the semifinal of the ACC Women’s T20 Championship. The winner would seal the spot in the Asia Cup.

Nepal elected to bowl first after winning the toss at Kinrara Academy Oval, Kuala Lumpur. Nepalese bowlers did a terrific job and wrapped up UAE for just 81 runs in 19.5 overs. Ashmina Karmacharya picked up an impressive fifer (3.5-0-10-5). Indu Berma and Sita Rana Magar also bowled well, grabbing three and two wickets each.

But sadly, no play was possible in the second inning due to the rain and the match was called off. UAE were announced as the winner, having topped Group A, whilst Nepal finished second in the Group B.

UAE also booked their seat in the Asia Cup and ended up winning the trophy. Opposingly, Nepal were knocked out and their dream to play Asia Cup was shattered.
