Barbados Tridents picks Sandeep Lamichhane for CPL19

Barbados Tridents, one of the franchise team of Caribbean Premier League, has picked Nepalese youngster Sandeep Lamichhane for a record US $70,000.

Lamichhane was picked by Tridents on round 5 of the CPL draft being held in London today.

Last year, the 18-year old leg spinner was picked by St Kitts & Nevis Patriots team for US $5,000. He played in five games and grabbed seven wickets.

Meanwhile, round ten of the CPL draft has been completed and there has been no announcement on the other three Nepalese cricketers.

A USA based CMG Companies led consortium is replacing Indian Industrialist Vijay Mallya as the Barbados Tridents new owners of CPL 2019. West Indies Test and ODI captain Jason Holder will be the marquee players for 2019 season.
