Kathmandu- DAV School and Nepal Police School entered the semi-final of 8th COAS Inter School Running Cricket Tournament 2071.
DAV School VS Galaxy Public School
Pranaya Shah’s amazing innings of 55 runs off 43 balls guided DAV School into the semi- finals against Galaxy Public school.
DAV made 143/4 in allotted overs thanks to Pranaya’s innings. Opener Rajat Prasad also contributed with 19 runs. Galaxy could only managed 74/9 in 20 overs. Opner Samrat Jung Karki top scored with 21 runs of 15 balls for Galaxy. Bimal Kumar took 3 wickets for DAV and finished with figures 4-2-6-3.
Nepal Police School VS Brihaspati Vidya Sadan
In the second quarter-finals Nepal Police school defeated Brihaspati Vidya Sadan by 9 wickets to enter the semi-finals.
A combined bowling effort saw Nepal Police restrict Brihaspati for 83 runs in 18.1 overs. Subham Chaudhary and Amit Adhikari took two wickets each for Nepal Police. Openers Ashesh Khanal and Pratik Kanth scored 29 and 15 runs respectively for Bhrihaspati. None other batsman crossed double digit mark for them.
Nepal Police chased the target with ease losing a wicket only in 15.5 overs. Dipendra Khatri and Amit scored remained not out on 30 and 20 runs respectively while Sabin Joshi got out for 18 runs for Nepal Police.
