International Cricket Council (ICC) has agreed to organise two one-day international (ODI) matches of ICC World Cricket League Championship between Nepal and Namibia in Greater Noida, India on April 16 and 18.
According to Hindustan Times, ICC has agreed to organise a four-day Intercontinental Cup series between Namibia and Afghanistan from April 10-13 and Nepal vs Namibia as well at the grounds of Shaheed Vijay Singh Parthik Sports Stadium.
“The matches have been approved by ICC. We are just waiting for the final clearance,” Rajiv Tyagi, general manager of the Greater Noida authority, said. The Greater Noida stadium has a capacity for 8,000 audience.

Nepal were set to host the two one-dayers in Kathmandu but lack of intent in planning and preparation from Cricket Association of Nepal halted to shift Greater Noida in India. On the other hand, they are yet to recruit a full time Head coach and their internal conflict and ICC threats of suspension looms these the status of Nepal Cricket.
Meanwhile, talking to Bhawana Ghimire, CEO of CAN, she said this may be due to the governance issues of CAN that made ICC think about the alternatives venue. “Regarding the Coach hiring, unless issues resolves, we cannot hire the Coach”, Ghimire further added.
Currently, Nepal is placed at the bottom in the points table after their losses against Scotland(0-2) and Papua New Guinea(0-2). Namibians, on the other hand are also struggling with just one win out of the four matches they have played.
