Hemant Dhami produced a devastating spell after Narayan Joshi's rescue act as Sudurpashchim Province thrashed Bagmati Province by 163 runs in Match 28 of the PM Cup at Ramjanki Multipurpose Stadium, Janakpur on Sunday.
Sudurpashchim were in trouble early despite a solid start in the powerplay. They slipped to 68 for 6 before Deepak Bohara and Narayan Joshi rebuilt the innings. Deepak made 40 off 47 balls, while Narayan turned the match with a brilliant 75 off 68 deliveries, hitting two fours and six sixes. Ashok Dhami also remained unbeaten on 17 as Sudurpashchim recovered to 209 all out in 42.1 overs.
Bagmati's bowlers shared the wickets, but Pratis GC and Sandeep Lamichhane were the most effective. Pratis claimed 4 for 26, while Sandeep took 4 for 32. Their efforts, however, were not enough to prevent Sudurpashchim from posting a commanding total after the middle-order collapse.
Bagmati's reply fell apart from the start. They lost six wickets inside the powerplay and never recovered. Shubh Kansakar was the only batter to offer any resistance, scoring 32 off 25 balls, but no other batter reached double figures as the innings folded for just 46 in 11.2 overs.
Hemant Dhami tore through the line-up with 7 for 14 in six overs. Sher Malla backed him up superbly with 3 for 2 in 3.2 overs as Sudurpashchim wrapped up one of the most dominant wins of the tournament.
