Kathmandu- Hemanta Shrestha’s four-fer helped Suvakamana Boarding School record a seven wicket win over Mount Everest High SChool in the 8th COAS running cricket tournament 2071.
Mount Everest’s decision to bat first after winning the toss came wrong as Hemanta Shrestha destroyed Mount Everest’s top order picking first three wickets leaving them 4/26 at the end of powerplay overs. Skipper Sushil Kunwar’s 25 runs off 30 balls and Supril Lama’s 14 helped Mount Everest post 91 runs on the board before being all out in 19.3 overs. Hemanta finished with figures of 4-1-13-4 while Ayush Sapkota grabbed 2 wickets for Suvakamana.
Opener Ashish Timalsina scored a fine 46* runs off 34 balls as Suvakamana chased the target in just 11.2 overs losing three wickets. Prabesh Simkhada scored another 18 runs for the winning team. Avinash Shah, Ayub Ali and Sabin Pudasaini picked one wicket each for Mount Everest.
