ICC re-schedules Nepal’s opening round of ICC WCLC

Kathmandu – International Cricket Council (ICC) has postponed Nepal’s opening round fixture of ICC World Cricket League Championship (WCLC) against Scotland on tuesday.

As per the ICC fixtures, Nepal were scheduled to play Scotland on home and away fixtures on June 10 and 12 on their first leg but due to the massive earthquake of 7.9m that affected the country, CAN requested ICC to reschedule the fixture.

Upon the request of CAN, ICC responded and has reschedule the matches on July 25 and 27 with the venue yet to be decided.

Nepal is also set to play the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifiers in Ireland/Scotland from July 10-23 which means Nepalese team will have stay in Europe after the completion of Qualifiers to play against Scotland.

ICC World Cricket League Championship (WCLC) is 50 over tournament among the top non-test playing Associates played in home and away fixtures for the qualification for the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers 2019. Hong Kong, UAE, PNG, Netherlands, Namibia and Kenya are the other teams in the tournament.
