The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced a 15-men squad for the USA tour of ICC Men’s Cricket World Cricket League 2 on Wednesday.

Sandeep Lamichhane will lead the side, but without a deputy. Binod Bhandari, Dipendra Singh Airee, Rohit Paudel, Kushal Bhurtel, Aasif Sheikh, Aarif Sheikh, Karan KC, Sompal Kami, Bikram Sob, and Kishor Mahato are among the players fitted in.

Likewise, Sunil Dhamala has found his place after Zimbabwe A series. Dev Khanal, Sagar Dhakal and Md. Aadil Ansari are also slotted in.

The surprise though was the omission of the Ex-Captain and senior player, Gyanendra Malla, who last played against U.A.E on 21 March 2022, during the Dubai tour of ICC WCL2. Similarly, the likes of Pawan Sarraf, Bhim Sharki, Sharad Vesawkar, Kamal Singh Airee have also missed out.

Nepal will play four ODIs in Texas, two each against Oman and the hosts. The first match is scheduled for 10 June against Oman, the second match against the USA on 12 June, the third match against Oman on 15 June, and the last match against the USA on 16 June.

Nepal is currently sitting in the sixth position in the Points table with six wins in 12 matches. Meanwhile, Oman leads the points table with 19 wins in 32 matches whilst, the USA has dropped to the fifth position with 7 wins in 16 matches.
