Nepal crashed out despite Khadka’s brilliance

England- Nepal got defeated at the hands of Gloucestershire Cricket Club 2nd XI team by four wickets despite batting brilliance from Skipper Paras Khadka in the third practice match played at Bath Cricket Club.

Gloucestershire Cricket Club 2nd XI 171/6 (19.0 overs) defeated Nepal 170/4 (20.0 overs) by 4 wickets

Khadka’s unbeaten 73 of just 54 balls went in vain as Gloucestershire successfully chased down a target of 171 runs in 19 over losing six wickets. Nepal’s skipper Khadka single handedly took the score to 171/4 with his outstanding batting that included nine fours and two sixes. Apart from Khadka, Pradeep Airee played a little cameo scoring 16 not out off just six balls towards the end of Nepal’s inning. Sagar Pun too scored 22 runs but he took 32 balls in scoring those runs.

Nepalese bowlers couldn’t defend a good total against a fearless batting of Gloucestershire Cricket Club. Karan KC, Sompal Kami and Jitendra Mukhiya were hit all over the ground with KC being the most expensive one conceding 44 runs in 4 overs though he picked up three wickets.

Sompal conceded 30 runs in his quota of 4 overs picking up a wicket, while Jitendra was wicketless in his 3 overs he bowled conceding 30 runs. Sagar Pun and Basant Regmi took one wicket each for Nepal.

PS Handscomb played a match winning knock of 54 runs off just 35 balls while M Hammond contributed 38 runs in Gloucestershire’s win.
