Nepal’s captain Rohit Paudel shares heartfelt message before the T20 World Cup

Nepal national cricket team captain Rohit Paudel has shared a powerful message ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024 campaign. He expressed gratitude for everyone’s support and vowed to back Team Nepal in their second appearance in the T20 World Cup.

“After a decade of anticipation, Nepal’s long-awaited dream became a reality as the nation is participating in the T20 World Cup for the second time. To all the cricket-loving spectators, coaches, CAN, and everyone who supports us: you are our source of inspiration. Your unwavering encouragement helped us to get selected and aim for success in this tournament to be held in America and the West Indies. We will always strive to wear the crown of victory with our nation’s flag on our shoulders. As always, we count on your continued love and support this time too. Jai Nepal!”, Captain Rohit posted on his social media accounts.

Nepal is playing the T20 World Cup second time having previously played in 2014. Nepal defeated UAE in the home ground in the qualifying tournament to confirm their place in the mega event after ten long years.

The T20 World Cup 2024 started in the USA and West Indies on June 2. Nepal will play against the Netherlands in the first game on June 4. The Nepalese side is placed in Group D alongside the Netherlands and three Test-playing nations – South Africa, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
