NPL T20 likely to be conducted in April

Kathmandu- The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) and Zohra Sports Management has agreed in terms to conduct the the shortest version of Nepal Premier League ( NPL T20) from April 26 to May 7, an unconfirmed source quoted.

Some dispute on financial issues between CAN and Zohra sports had put the concept of Nepal Premier League in danger in may last year but Zohra was able to conduct the 50-over version without any help from the governing body. The 50- over version was conducted successfully in Dhangahdi but it didn’t got the hype it was expected to get.

But now, sources says that the dispute has been solved and both parties have agreed to held the match waited NPL T20 form April 26 to May 7.

Six teams; Vishal Warriors, Colors X-Factors, Jagdamba Giants, Panchakanya Tej, Kantipur Gurkhas and Sagarmatha Legends participated in the inaugural edition of NPL. Panchanya Tej won the tournament defeating Jagadamba Giants by 97 runs in final.
