The National Sports Council, the apex body of Nepali sports in collaboration with the Cricket Association of Nepal, is going to organize a four-day high-performance cricket clinic with the National head coach Dav Whatmore.

The program will be organized in all Seven provinces in the months of March and April.

Sports Council has stated that all the procedures have been completed along with the allocation of Rs. 1.5 million to CAN. The program will begin on March 24 in Province 1.

As CAN appoints Dav Whatmore, a foreign coach, coaching training is currently limited to Kathmandu only and this program will benefit state-level players and coaches.

“Taking the national coach to every province will create a lot of interest in local players. It will help the local coaches learn the modern ways of coaching from the best coach in the business. It will surely encourage young kids to take up cricket”, the statement said.
