Prajjwal Shahi on song as Nepalgunj record second straight victory

Kathmandu- Prajjwal Shahi who scored 96 not out against Birgunj came up with another 90 plus score that helped Nepalgunj record second straight victory over R-7 (Janakpur) in the ongoing Senior National Cricket Tournament 2015 on Tuesday.

Nepalgunj also chased consecutive 200 plus score of the tournament and they did it fine too, chasing 237 runs inside 42 overs. The hero of the match was once again Prajjwal Shahi who made 93 runs off 110 balls before being caught by Kundan Singh off Sushant Mandal. His innings consisted of 13 fours. Anupam Singh made 79 not out while Subendu Pandey also remained not out for 31 runs.

Earlier, Hari Shankar shah and Abishek Jha made sure that Janakpur post a good total after they slumped to 73/6 in 20.5 overs. This made made the recovery putting 88 runs for the seventh wickets. Hari Shankar made 68 runs off 99 balls while Abhishek made 58 runs of 63 balls.

Akash Bista and Siddhant Raj Shahi shared 3 wickets each for Nepalgunj, the later being more economical and finishing with figure of 10-1-28-3. Nepalgunj made 237/2 in 42 overs against Janakpur’s 236/10 in 45.5 overs.
