Pubudu Dassanayeke resigns from his post

Kathmandu- Head coach Pubudu Dassanayeke has officially resigned from his position as a head coach from the senior national team citing personal reasons.

Speaking to Cricnepal on phone, CAN’s acting secretary Uttam Karmacharya confirmed the news.

This is certainly a big loss to Nepal Cricket. Under Dassanayeke, Nepal’s senior side played the T20 World Cup and won several tournaments at the ICC Division level. He has been the prime factor for each and every success Nepal cricket achieved in recent years.

Dassanaayeke will look after the team until this November for the match against Papua New Guinea (PNG) in Abu Dhabi. Nepal plays the 2nd round of ICC WCL Championship against PNG on November 16 and 18.
