Ranjeet Khadka's 128 helps Lumbini defeat Nepal Police

Ranjeet Khadka's brilliant century powered Lumbini Province to a 50-run win over Nepal Police Club in Match 29 of the PM Cup at Narayani Cricket Ground in Birgunj.

Lumbini posted 256 all out in 49.5 overs after Ranjeet anchored the innings with a superb 128 off 128 balls. He struck 13 fours and three sixes and laid the platform for a strong total. Aakash Tripathi gave him support with 36, while Darsh Sonar added 33 down the order.

Nepal Police's bowlers kept fighting back through the middle overs. Lalit Rajbanshi took 3 for 47, Rashid Khan picked up 2 for 50, and Karan KC, Aarif Sheikh, Dinesh Kharel and Deepak Serala claimed one wicket each. Even so, Ranjeet's knock carried Lumbini beyond 250.

In reply, Nepal Police lost wickets at regular intervals and never fully matched the tempo of the chase. Dinesh Kharel held the innings together with 94 off 104 balls, hitting 10 fours and six sixes. Sarwan Yadav added a brisk 36, while Dilsad Ali made 22, but the chase kept slipping away as partners fell around Dinesh.

Lumbini's bowlers shared the wickets and maintained control in the second half of the innings. Ajay Chauhan led the attack with 4 for 37, Dev Khanal took 3 for 35, and Santosh Yadav and Nirmal Gurung picked up one wicket each. Nepal Police were eventually bowled out for 206 in 42.5 overs.

Lumbini Province registered back-to-back wins over departmental sides after beating APF in a Super Over in their previous match and then defeating Nepal Police Club today.
