Rohit’s 95 blizz Nepal U19 to 282 against Singapore

Skipper Rohit Kumar Paudel smashed a blistering 95 to put 282 runs for Nepal U19 in their 46 overs against Singapore U19 at the Selangor Turf Club on Friday.

Singapore U19 invited Nepal to bat in their first match of ICC U19 Cricket World Cup Asia Qualifier 2019. They clinched two quick wickets of Opener Rit Gautam (1) & Aasif Sheikh(8). Nepal were put under pressure straight away but Skipper Paudel and Pawan Sarraf, the other opener, put 90 runs partnership for the fourth wicket and led the foundation. Sarraf made 47, three short of a half-century with 4 fours and two maximums.

Sundeep Jora (0) failed to score today but runs kept on flowing from one end and Skipper made himself the wall on the other end. Bhim Sharki made a quick fire 19 balls 26 runs with 4 fours and a six. Kushal Malla contributed 10 runs off 7 with a boundary and six.

Rohit Paudel kept on playing his shot and his partner Rashid Khan hit 48 runs off 47 balls in their 77 runs partnership for the eighth wicket. Unfortunately, Khan was run out but tailender Kamal Singh Airee smashed three sixes and a boundary in his 31 runs off 18 balls. Rohit was next to go, just 5 short of what would have been a great hundred. Paudel played 105 balls in his 95 runs with 7 fours and a six. His wicket followed up the collapse in the same over as Nepal were bowled for 282 runs still 24 balls remaining.

Atharva Gune was the pick of the bowler as he grabbed four wickets, three in his ninth-over including Skipper.
