Rohit Paudel to make international franchise league debut

Nepal national cricket team captain Rohit Paudel is set to participate in his first international franchise league, marking his debut in a franchise league outside of Nepal.

He was signed by Toronto Nationals to play Global T20 League Canada 2024. Two other players – Sandeep Lamichhane and Dipendra Singh Airee are also signed by Vancouver Knights.

Captain Paudel also becomes seventh Nepalese player to play international franchise league. Sandeep Lamichhane, Paras Khadka, Sompal Kami, Kushal Malla, Karan KC and Dipendra Singh Airee have previously played franchise leagues outside Nepal.

Sandeep has played almost every league around the globe. Sompal and Dipendra have previously played in the GT20 league Canada. Similarly, Paras, Karan, and Kushal have competed in the T10 League in the UAE.

Rohit will play alongside Shaheen Afridi, Colin Munro, Romario Shepherd and Rassie Van Der Dussen. Associate stars such as Saad Bin Zafar, Nicholas Kirton, and Junaid Siddique are also part of the squad.

The fourth edition of GT20 Canada will be played from 25th July to 10 August.
