Bagmati Province bounced back in style with a seven-wicket win over Koshi Province in Match 32 of the PM Cup at Ramjanaki Multipurpose Stadium, Janakpur.
After choosing to field first, Bagmati bowled Koshi out for 99 in 28.2 overs. Sandeep Lamichhane led the attack with 5 for 33 in 7.2 overs and was named Player of the Match. Rijan Dhakal supported him with 2 for 18, while Pratis GC and Ishan Pandey took one wicket each.
Koshi never settled after losing early wickets. Sujan Thapaliya top-scored with 21, Ankit Subedi made 19 and Rohan Shah added 18, but no batter was able to play a decisive innings. Koshi slipped to 44 for 5 and never recovered.
Bagmati then chased the target in only nine overs. Bibek Magar dominated the reply with an unbeaten 61 off 28 balls, hitting 10 fours and two sixes. Pratis GC finished unbeaten on 17 off just five balls, while Ringzin Lama made 17 at the top.
Bagmati were briefly checked at 17 for 2, but Bibek's counterattack quickly ended the contest. He and Ringzin added a rapid stand before Pratis helped finish the chase as Bagmati raced to 100 for 3.
The win gave Bagmati a strong response after their heavy defeat to Sudurpashchim in their previous outing, while Koshi's difficult campaign continued. They are winless in six matches from 7 matches with one match getting washed out.
