Sandeep Lamichhane produced a match-winning spell of 7 for 40 as Bagmati Province defeated Karnali Province by 60 runs in Match 22 of the PM Cup.

Bagmati were bowled out for 180 in 38.4 overs after a mixed batting display in which Bibek Magar top-scored with 56 off 80 balls. Shivam Tiwari made 18, Shubh Kansakar scored 20, Pawan Thapa added 22 and Ishan Pandey contributed 27, but Bagmati kept losing wickets at regular intervals despite a strong start.

Karnali's bowlers shared the wickets around effectively. Diwan Pun led the way with 3 for 28, while Prakash Jaishi, Dipendra Rawat and Nischal Rawal claimed two wickets each. Extras also played a major part in Bagmati's total, contributing 31 runs.

In reply, Karnali never recovered after losing Rabindra Shahi to the first ball of the innings. Nischal Rawal top-scored with 31, while Dinesh Adhikari made 22 and Bipin Shahi added 15, but the chase kept falling apart under Sandeep's relentless spell.

The Bagmati captain removed key middle-order wickets and ran through the lower order to finish with 7 for 40 in 9.1 overs. Rijan Dhakal, Pratis GC and Subash Khatri took one wicket each as Karnali were dismissed for 120 in 25.1 overs.

The win was driven by Bibek's rescue effort with the bat and Sandeep's dominant work with the ball as Bagmati returned to winning ways.
