Kathmandu- The Supreme Court has ordered Ministry of Youth and Sports (MoYS) to unblock CAN’s bank accounts. The MoYS had, earlier, dissloved CAN and had seized all its bank accounts.CAN had been in a serious financial situation after MoYS blocked its bank accounts.
On Tuesday’s hearing, the SC, led by judge Cholendra SJB Rana responded against a contempt case filed by Ameet Bir Pandey, a member of the Shah-led committee against Minister Purushottam Poudel and ordered MoYS to unblock CAN’s Bank accounts.
The Supreme Court on the last week of November had issued stay back order in favor of CAN lead by Tarani Bikram Shah and suspended the ad hoc committee formed by MoYS.
This decision has certainly eased some financial pathway in Nepal’s preparation for the ICC WCL Division 2 that starts form January 17. Nepal are set to travel to South Africa for 10-days preparation ahead of the tournament on January 3.
