In the first quarter-finals, some awesome batting from Rajesh Pulami and Binod Bhandari gifted Pentagon a 16 runs win over Sunrise HSS.
Batting first, Pentagon piled huge runs on the board thanks largely to Rajesh Pulami’s 68 off just 28 balls and Binod Bhandari’s 56 off 37 balls. Both these batsman clubbered bowlers all over the ground hitting fours and sixes.
Chasing a target of 194 runs, Amit Shrestha nearly turned the game alone scoring fine 85* from 61 balls. Had he been supported well, the results would have been different. Only Hasim Anasri 21 off 13 balls and Bhim Sarki 19 off 10 balls gave him some support and at the end managing 177/5 in 20 overs.
