Venkatapathy, Ratanayeke to aid Nepal bowlers

Kathmandu – The former India left-arm spinner Venkatapathy Raju and Rumesh Ratnayake will arrive in Kathmandu to aid Nepal ahead of ICC WCL Division two to be held in Namibia.

Raju, 45,  will help Nepal spinners develop their bowling skills while Ratnayeke, along with two other Sri Lanka fast bowler will shape up Nepal fast bowlers.

Venkatapathy played 28 tests and 53 ODI for India. He also played in the 1992 and 1996 World cups for India. He will arrive in Kathmandu on December 25.

Both Venkatapathy and Ratnayeke are the ACC development officers. Nepal cricket team is currently preparing for ICC WCL Division 2. They are in a closed camp in Kathmandu.
