Yogendra Karki’s five-fer melts Dhangahdi’s batting

Kathmandu- Baitadi made a fine start to the senior national cricket tournament 2015 with a seven wicket victory over Dhangadhi at TU Ground, Kritipur on Monday.

Yogendra Karki produced one of the best bowling performance of the tournament picking five wickets in his 10 overs and conceding just 15 runs. He ripped through Dhangahdi’s middle order picking wickets one after another.

There were as many as four duck outs for Dhangadhi with only two batsman Sunil Dhamala 11 and Skipper Raju Rijal crossing double digit mark as Dhangahdi were bundled out for 89 runs in 37.2 overs.

Yogendra’s figures read 10-3-15-5. Baitadi chased the target in just 20 overs losing three wickets. Prem Tamang scored 31 not out while Yogendra made 16 not out during the chase for Baitadi. Binod Lama picked all three wickets for Dhangadhi.
