Young DCA suffer huge defeat in their first match

Kathmandu- Dhangadhi Cricket Academy’s U-16 suffered huge defeat of 267 runs at the hands of Mumbai Police Gymkhana Academy (MPGA) in their first tour match in Mumbai, India.

MPGA U16 made a huge 336 for 8 in 45 overs and folded out DCA U16 69 for 10 in 19 overs. MPGA fielded five players from the Mumbai U16 team. Taking advantage of their home condition, riding on Vignesh Kharke’s and Hitesh Chohan’s 86 runs each they piled up 336 runs on the board. Pratish GC and Skipper Aman Joshi grabbed two wickets each for DCA.

Apart from Reet Gautam’s 48 not out runs, no other batsman trouble the score sheet for DCA. Six batsman went without opening their account. Offspinner Abhishek Yadav bagged five wicket haul for the home team including a hattrick in the 19th over.

Meanwhile, DCA also payed tribute to their late coach Arjun Khadka before the match. Arjun spent his childhood playing cricket in Mumbai. He was phenomenal in Far Western Region’s rise in domestic cricket including Dhangahdi.Tribute to Arjun Khadka

DCA will play a two day match against Sindh Cricket Club on Tuesday in Mumbai.
